Marc has a knack for making things real where some people only dream. He never gives up on a good idea and will not settling for second place. "I play to win and that is what keeps me motivated and energized."
When Marc decided to tackle the life of an independent owner/operator he knew that building a reputation as a top notch carrier meant getting his name and energy out there. It was only a matter of time before Marc went from one small truck to hauling heavy and unusual loads with his venerable (and now instantly recognizable ) Kenworth. Marc’s reputation as a trustworthy and professional motor carrier spread quickly and when the creators of “Shipping Wars” contacted U-Ship looking for a top notch professional trucker Marc was their first choice! Having been on the show from the very start, Marc’s genuine personality and NO BS style continue to entertain viewers even after seven seasons! Unlike some on the show that have come and gone (and his current counter parts as well), Marc continues to be known as the true professional who gets the job done no matter the odds!
Marc Springer is no stranger to accomplishment. Full of energy and bigger than life, Marc is never shy about being the center of attention! Marc’s never ending passion for success always puts him ahead of the game!
At the young age of 13 Marc found early success as a talented hockey player. Deciding he wanted to play pro, Marc knew he had to get to Canada. Picking up a map, he selected a town in Manitoba and wrote the mayor a letter asking if he could come learn Canadian style hockey from the best. In less than one year and still only 14 years old, Marc was on the road driving himself cross country and eventually landing in Dauphin, Manitoba. While in Canada, Marc played minor and Jr hockey for many seasons becoming a force to be reckoned with. Eventually Marc returned home to Seattle where he continued to play semi pro. Marc has also spent several seasons sharing his passion for the sport with kids by coaching Jr. hockey.
From his early days of playing hockey to driving trucks on TV, Marc has worn many hats, owned several businesses, and worked in many industries. As a result, Marc has the ability to keep fans entertained for hours on end with captivating stories of adventure and travel. From a small town? Chances are Marc’s been there! Ever been to Australia? Chances are Marc was your dive instructor. Ever bought a Harley motorcycle? Strong possibility Marc sold it to you! The list goes on and on…
Marc has been very fortunate in the past and is truly excited about what the future holds. When not on the road with a film crew swarming about, Marc enjoys spending time with friends, out riding his 2003 Harley-Davidson or rocking in the Puget Sound fishing for Salmon or Ling Cod. Marc also enjoys escaping and just driving one of his trucks on the open road (although he doesn’t get to do that as much as he would like anymore).
